Do nothing machine, Time waster, Bullshit grinder, whatever you call it, this toy has been around for years. My Dad was making them in the 50s. When the crank is turned two small pieces of wood move back and forth, up and down but never touch each other.
Before cell phones, people had to find other stupid, mindless ways to entertain themselves while driving. This was one of them.
Base measures 3 ½ x 3 ½ x 15/16 inhes.
